After spending the mid-2010s playing keyboards for L.A. indie outfit Cherry Glazerr, Sasami Ashworth stepped into the spotlight with her 2019 self-titled solo debut as SASAMI. That record saw the classically trained composer reinvent herself as a dream-pop diarist, framing brittle lo-fi confessionals like “I Was a Window” in psychedelic guitar smears.
