Abstract
Let’s remind ourselves what happens when you open the governor valves on your turbine. You admit more steam into the turbine, so you’re going to be pushing the blades, shaft and generator rotor a little bit harder. This will push against the grid frequency, so you’ll be putting more energy (electricity) into the grid. All well and good, that’s probably what you wanted. But what’s happened to your reactor?
