Nice submission. There are too many enemies too soon; I think the game could do with a slower build-up in difficulty.

Cool game.  I agree, at first I thought the sword was meant to be a momentum-based attack.  I ended up holding LMB down while the creeps walked into it  xD

This is really cute! I found myself wanting to swing my sword to kill enemies instead of clicking, but you pulled together a fun little arcade game here 🙂 Good job!

Keeping your fire alive whilst defending yourself is engaging. 

I suggest keeping the interaction button for a core action (picking up and attacking) the same. I instinctively kept trying to press E vs Left, clicking to attack.

Additionally, I would add the ability to regenerate health by having the demons drop hearts.  This would make the action of killing an enemy feel more rewarding.
