Yes
Summarise your game!
A deck building real time survival game. The player can play cards with specific effects, most of this is just clicking. The goal is to protect certain bodily cells, as you play as the immune system. The immune system is the weapon against pathogens that attack these cells. The goal is to survive as long as possible.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The immune system is the bodies natural defense system, as per official definition:
“A complex network of cells, tissues, organs, and the substances they make that helps the body fight infections and other diseases.”
Something that helps something fight against something can classify as a weapon. As such the immune system IS the weapon. The player plays as the immune system, so YOU are the weapon.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Everything but the fonts is custom made for this jam only by me. Sadly I got quite sick during week 1 and also work full time / have other obligations so only had about ~15 instead of 40 active development hours for this, the strategic depth is lacking and the art is missing things because of that.
Main feedback point for me would be the art. I have always stuck to programmer art before this so this is my first time actually trying to make something look good!

Congratulations on making this all by yourself! The pixel art is really cool, the gameplay is fun, and the music really fits the scene! Great job! :-)
For something done almost entirely by yourself, this is really good! I love the designs on the cards, and the music is really soothing. I think having music play during the tutorial would be nice, as it felt too quiet while reading through it. It did also take me some time to get used to the cards, but it was nice once understanding them. Great job on your submission!
Given that you only had two weeks for this, I'm rather impressed. Deckbuilders are hard to get good balance going. And while I can see places where it could improve: The lack of deck thinning meant that your deck just got unwieldy after a while, the 'hit all bacteria' was the most powerful card, along with clear all toxins, that sort of thing; I just appreciate that the game gave me a little optimization puzzle. At first I didn't like the discard system, but I realize now that I've played it, it works great with the real time mechanic and needing to get to the button. Overall really worthwhile!
Thanks for playing through and the good feedback.
I definitely found out that making a deck building style game balanced within this period is a challenge, especially as I lost at least a week of work due to sickness and work but it was a good experience for sure!
I am happy you had the patience to get into the real time part of the game properly, the idea was to create a bit of a chaotic and maybe overwhelming feeling towards later parts, introducing also a bit of a mechanical challenge.
I'll be sure to check yours out tonight!
I like me some good deck building game :)
very fun game, i wish there was more even more cards to have fun combos n stuff. there was a lot of polish and the systems where really fun to interact with. I agree with some of the other comments an interactive tutorial would be nice and also as the game went on I felt like I was regen energy to slowly to combot all of the enemies that spawned
The game definitely lacks depth as of now, thank you for the kind feedback though!!
Wow I can tell a ton of work went into this! It looks really nice, and I did understand my objective , but I don't think I fully understood how to use some of my cards. I think the tutorial needs to be interactive. Be proud of this work because it seems like there's a lot of potential here! good job! keep making games!
Some of the cards for for sure needed some more info, at least a tooltip of sorts. Thanks for the feedback!
Really nice game! I love the music and the art style. Also, as a microbiologist, I love the idea! It's a cozy but challenging game and I hope you will continue with this!
There are some mistakes in spelling within the tutorial, while the tutorial itself could be done while playing. Still: Providing such a nice game within the given time is just AWESOME!
Hi! Thank you for the feedback and kind words. Initially I wanted to make it way more accurate and actually started with a lot of research on the immune system, however I found it to be too difficult to make fun in the short amount of time that way.
Apologies for the spelling mistakes, if I continue with this I will make sure to fix them. I will also make sure to check out your game asap :)
