Great feeling game but I had a bit of an issue controlling whether I want to reel in or shoot a new grapple. Sound design conveys what is happening really well.
Sound design is perfect! magical! I swinged for like hours in the You win screen to just hear it.. swinging feels smooth and juicy. Liked red monochromatic style.. Nice game!
Absolutely adore the sound design! Once I got the hang of the controls it felt great to swing around, nice entry!
This is a nice game, I think with a bit more development you could have a solid idea on your hands. My biggest issue was not being able to see where to go or where I would be best to fire next. Sometimes my clicks would have me zipping up the line and directly into a nearby death wall which was annoying because I couldn't see the next spot to hit.
Regardless worth more development and could be a very interesting mobile or browser game.
Great addicting game. I could totally see people playing this on their phones. The checkpoint system is *mwah* perfecto.
This was a really challenging game but I loved it. It might have been better to have a dedicated button for reeling in. But besides that it is a wonderful game!

Also, please don't advertise your game. It gives you undeserved attention, and (though I won't do it myself) it might make people give bad reviews just in spite of you.
Also, you should work on punctuation and capitalization. People who give insightful reviews and seem to put a lot of effort into their comments, often get me to check out what they've made themselves.
I like this good idea!But I don't know how "Only One" be embodied in the game.
I was going for a game designed with only one thing. That "thing" being grappling hook. So I scrapped everything else, including other items, enemies and bosses. I wanted to have a game that was fun because of the movement alone.
Really satisfying movement here ! Even though the controls may seem a bit unintuitive at first, it gets really fun once you get used to them. I just wish there were some mechanics that could help diversify the gameplay a bit, like moving obstacles or platforms, but hey I know it's hard to implement stuff like that in less than 48 hours. Still, amazing work here ! Kepp it up !
I agree, the level was what I had the least time to work on, so the fact that there's no moving platforms is because of time constraints. I'm glad you liked it though.
Small nitpick with the controls - left click to grapple and right click to ungrapple is kind of awkward, and I would have preferred the much more common hold to grapple, release to ungrapple. But I otherwise found the game to be quite satisfying to play! The swing physics were very good, and I always felt like I was in full control of the ball.

I've considered the controls you're suggesting during development, and I found that it left you with less control over the ball. The player has control over whether it's grappling or ungrappling, but also whether you are reeling yourself in, or dangling freely from the line, which is controlled by holding down or releasing left click.
Quite fun! Also got stuck in one death block, but restarted and reached the end! (was cool enough to give it another shot!) Very nice!
Aw, the respawn system strikes again. Sadly didn't have time to test it before submission.
Alright time to get on the phone with marvel and get the rights to spiderman. I could've keep playing this game for an hour it was so satisfying. 15/15

Fun and intuitive! Also, I know Mark said this wasn't a jam about visuals and audio, but that is some neat sound design.

Fun game, I like the sound effect. It might be nice to have arrow showing where to go, and have the camera zoomed out a bit more. Cool game!

The horrible camera-zoom was due to the server issues at the end of the jam, so i wasn't able to test any of my itch.io settings. Should be better now.
