How does your game fit the theme?
Warning - Spoilers ahead:
Our character suffers from a fictional condition that relates to memory loss and confusion. They must read their journal every day to gain their memories. When they read their journal they try to piece together their memories: this is simulated with puzzles and fuzziness. Once they solve the puzzle the pages become clear (they remember). Ultimately the storm is simulated by the growing realisation that is happening in our character's mind. At first they are calm because they don't realise what is happening to them (Ignorance is bliss). But as the moments pass they realise that they suffer from an irreversible condition and a sensation of loss and sadness hits them which simulates the storm.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes all code, art and music was made by us.

Enjoyed trying to work out the puzzles. Appreciate games with text, to come up with a story is amazing.
I'm glad you enjoyed it :) thank you for playing!
Really cool game! I enjoyed the character and reading everything that was in the book. The puzzles were also pretty fun. The graphics also looked amazing. Good stuff!
thank you so much! This was the first time I wrote a story for a game and I had fun trying to find a way to connect it with the puzzles. I'm really glad you liked it :)
Entries that make everything themselves, or most of it, always get some extra plus points of course but you did a great job on the visual cohesion of it all so even more kudos! The gameplay didn't vibe with me that much but I definitely see the appeal. I think my partner might enjoy it so I will share it around :)
thank you so much for playing and for the comment! yes of course all of us have different preferences in games. I'm really happy that you are going to share it with your partner :)
nice colour pallet, good puzzles and writing!
Pretty unique
thank you so much!
Really nice game ! i loved the art and music, the ambiance was very chill. i wish there was some sort of hints in game, because i struggled quit a bit on some puzzles ahah. But overall i had a really cool time !
thank you for playing and for the comment :) Unfortunately I didn't have time to add hints in the gameplay since it's a jam. It is on my list to add them afterwards :) There is a pdf with hints on the itch page but I understand that it is not the best way to provide them to the players.
I played this with my fiancée and I should say, this is really well made! Making everything from scratch is inspiring! One complaint from us would be the "smoke" effect that happens when the character doesn't remember the page. Sometimes it blocks the essential parts of the puzzle (looking at the sudoku-type puzzle, column 1 row 2 for example).
I wish I will be able to create art like you people one day! Cheers!
Thank you so much for playing and the kind comments! :) I added intense fuzziness on purpose on specific parts of the page to make the puzzles more difficult. The example you gave is one of them. But I made sure you can find the solution regardless without even knowing what symbol is there :) The only thing maybe I should have done is to show where the items you move behind the fuzziness are.
Cool! I really like the kitchen puzzle!
Very nice puzzle game! The art style is really good and gives a good touch to the game. A part from the first puzzle (I want an explanation if you want) all the puzzles are well done and understandable. Good job!
Thank you so much for playing! I have a pdf you can download with hints. But I can explain it here. So the correct order is 2431 or 4231. But in each step there is an underlined word. So for 2 and 4 the word is the ingredients, for 3 is the containers and for 1 is the minutes. The ingredients of first mixture is 3, the ingredients of 2nd mixture are 3 as well (that's why the order for those doesn't matter), the containers are 4 and the minutes are 8. So if you follow the order 2431/4231 you get: 3348. Obviously is a hard puzzle since people are struggling, and might need some adjustments to help people find it easier :)
Oh thanks for the explanation! Maybe this puzzle can be put as last to avoid people getting stuck (or some hints in game, like a bulb) but it's a jam so it is ok to use the pdf.

Avoid using firefox if you play the web version.
Yeah, I haven't realised it was a tough puzzle heh. I wanted to add hints in the game but I didn't have time unfortunately :) Maybe I will update it afterwards. Also, I am currently playing your game heh! I downloaded it because it is lagging otherwise.
What an impactful game, and so very enjoyable. I loved the puzzles, they were really well made :)
If you've got time, could you check out my submission?

Thank you so much! I will check your game as well :)
i couldn't get past the first puzzle even though I'm sure I put in the right numbers. i love the art style either way and the calming music :D
Hi! Thank you for playing! The answer to the 1st puzzle is 3348. You can view the solutions on the itch page if you scroll down. Unfortunately, there is no visual/sound effect to indicate that you get the answer wrong (my bad).
"Love the concept and the art but kept getting issues in the first puzzle even when I pressed enter :/" -Maria of the Ribbiting Climb team, no itch account to comment
I'm so sorry you are struggling with the first puzzle, the answer is not the obvious one. Unfortunately, I didn't add a visual/sound effect to indicate when people get the answer wrong. You can view the solutions on the itch page if you scroll down and still want to play it :)
In general it's a nice game with a cozy vibe. If the first puzzle is using 2431 or 4231 as the answer, it will be less difficult. Also when the answer is wrong, can not really tell because nothing happens (yes definitely add something helps, no matter sfx or a panel) Overall - Great job and congratulations!
Hey! thank you for playing! I wanted to make more challenging puzzles. I went ahead and put the solutions on the itch page so it's more accessible to everyone. It is my bad I didn't add a visual/sound effect to show that the answer is wrong to avoid confusion.
I am lost at first page :( it is calm but it is not storm. And also i don't like puzzles, but keep it up, sure you know how to cook stuff
Hey, thank you for playing regardless :) The storm is an emotional one that unravels when you solve the puzzles. You can also see the solutions on the itch page if you scroll down :)
Beautiful art and music but I'm too dumb for the first puzzle, even with the hints I'm lost.
there are solutions too in a separate pdf if you want to see the full game! :)
Very cozy and aesthetic game! In the first part, it would be good to have something that indicates that the "obvious" answer is not the one. I did not immediately look at the hints because I also thought they would expose the solution, while they are actually on separate pages. Keep up the good work! Very fun :)
Thank you so much for playing! I will definitely add a visual/sound effect to indicate that the answer is wrong in the future. I also went ahead and separate the solutions from the hints to avoid any confusion.
It's very pretty and cozy! I got stuck on the first puzzle. I even opened the pdf, and I had the order correct, but I haven't a clue where to go from there, even with the pdf!
Hey! Thank you for playing! The pdf includes hints on the 1st page. The solutions start from the 2nd page. I created two separate ones now to avoid any further confusion. I hope you can still play it with the solutions available!
I tried it again, filled in the solution from the solution sheet, and got through the rest just fine! Loved it. I love these kinds of puzzles in general, and the vibe and aesthetic was lovely. The story didn't fully land with me, though. Anyway, great job!
Wow this game is gorgeous! You are a very talented artist and I love the concept of the game. I did have the same issue as others where I couldn't submit the answer to the first puzzle but I see a ton of potential in this game!
Thank you so much for the compliment! :) The solution to the 1st puzzle is 3348. There is a pdf with hints and solutions to help you enjoy the game. Please let me know if you cannot submit the answer. Also, I should have included a visual/sound effect for getting the answer wrong, it is my bad.
Ah I see now! That was my bad, it worked! I played the rest of the game and I was really touched. It is beautiful and fits the theme so well. Thank you for the help!
Very awesome! However the first puzzle was a bit hard. I don't actually get how to reach the answer?
Hey! There are two pdfs that include hints and solutions so that you can still play the game. I might have made the puzzles a bit hard, because I love puzzle game. I hope you can still enjoy it with the available solutions though!
I didn't pass the first puzzle, it's not that i don't know the answer (at least i hope), but I don't know what to do next after I typed it. But... THIS GAME IS SOO CHARMING. Wow, UI design is peak in my opinion. If I were to nitpick, I'd rather for journal font to be a bit more readable, but that really it. Really cool game, as a coffee lover I'm really pleased with this cozy cup. ☕
I am really glad you enjoyed it! I included two pdfs with hints and solutions so you can still play it if you have trouble finding the answer. It is my bad I didn't include any visual/sound effect for getting the answer wrong.
Really nice art style and audio, its a very warm feeling game. When i put the first answer in and pressed enter, nothing happened. I'm not sure if i'm missing a step, let me know if i missed anything as i want to play through the game!
Thank you so much for playing!! I will spoil the answer since a lot of people have a problem. Did you type 3348? In the pdf the hints are on the 1st page and the solutions are on the 2nd page. I will probably separate the solutions from the hints to avoid any confusion. If you still have the problem please let me know! :) I will check your game as well!
