The gameplay reminds me a little bit of Smash Bros, but with more arena survival elements. The procedural generation helps keep things interesting, but I occasionally get stuck in a tile generated over me, lol. It’s not an issue since the environment is destructible, which adds to the fun.
Thank you! one of the inspirations we had when making this game was smash, so im glad that it reminded you of it! the terrain generation definitely causes some issues, but im glad you found a solution to the issue!
Very good polish one this one! Stunning gameplay depth and amazing arts, underrated gem as others said! Couldn't play very good because my left arrow key is missing but thats a me problem. Blocks that drain your power proved to be the hardest enemy for me :)![](/https://img.itch.zone/aW1nLzE5NzQzMTQ0LnBuZw==/original/szjsyA.png)
thank you! i appreciate the comments, we have a lot of stuff we wished to add to counter the draining blocks, but we didnt have time to. you did a great job without a left arrow key regardless!
the key itself works, the keycap is missing so i had to use a pen as a left arrow (awesome experience tbh)
oh wow, the dedication :O
Was very surprised by the ingenuity of this game! On the surface it looked like a standard platform shooter, but the way you incorporated the theme led to a very interesting experience. The way your health and ammo are the same resource made me think more strategically, and the fact that it was constantly decreasing led to a lot of frantic moments that were really entertaining. Not to mention things like the block that sapped your energy. This is an underrated gem for sure.
thank you! im glad the underlying mechanic about energy being both your health and resource for your attacks was highlighted here, it's something that spurred the idea for this game haha!
I liked discovering all the different powers, and the level generations is really neat! The presentation was also pretty good.
thank you! im very proud of the level generation so im glad its being commented on :)
Really awesome sprite work, fun contrast in the color of the sunset sky and the dark environment with easy-to-see green spots/characters of importance. Nice mechanics, fun little arcade style game! I guess my only gripe is that you tend to go through each power a little too quickly to enjoy them and since some require directional input, I didn't think some of them worked my first couple go-arounds until I actually did look in the corner (I read the instructions, that's kinda on me)
Both in their size/shape and some sounds, got some big Kirby vibes, nothing wrong with that at all.
thank you! the lack of a proper ui and system to teach and visualize the powers were something i regret not focusing on, as it is a common complaint right now that the powers were hard to understand. im glad you managed to enjoy it despite the flaws!
Awesome game! Love the sprite works and the use of dark colors in contrast of the yellow and orange. I liked how the stage just procedurally kept generating as I played, really enjoyed the movement (Double jump hell yeah!) Had no issues running the game and I had a fun time. Good job! :)
Thank you! Im glad to hear about the visuals of this game, since my team did a great job with it!
Sadly I cannot play with the controls on a german keyboard as it is straight up unplayable :(
oh no, i was afraid this was going to pop up. im sorry to hear that! unfortunately i dont believe gamemaker has a proper workaround for this, so im afraid i cant do much
Fun :)
Thank you! your response has been recorded for future reference
Love how the level procedurally generates around you! Had to get used to the controls, but overall a fun little game!
Thank you! I apologize for the control scheme, it was what I grew up with so I had assumed it was natural. Im glad you worked past that issue though!
