Really cool game, loved it all. The upgrades all felt impactful and the little camera twirl was a nice bit of polish! I really liked the palette swap mechanic too (but I am biased because I added one in my game also), would have loved to see more options. That being said, I didn't tend to use the teleport too often, it felt was too random to be reliable and would sometimes put me in more danger than I was already in, though I suppose that's the tradeoff! Looking forward to seeing your next game!

The game is gorgeous i think, i love the little spin animation when you level up. I think the upgrades were good, each one felt impactful without feeling overpowered. Would have loved some other ways to deal damage, feels like you're spending a lot of time just waiting for the next snowflake to spawn.

Fun game, great job

Nice little survival game but definitely could've used more variety in upgrades, and more ways to deal damage would probably be more enjoyable. Gameplay got pretty slow quickly cause of the lack of variety but overall good game :)

Fun play, love the mechanics

Some feedback

- Would be nice to see the current stat in the upgrade

- Would be nice if it had a way to exit (or idk if it wasn't registering it due to me running it thru wine)

- Would be nice if the enemies that have more health were clearly shown (by having a bigger size?)

- I'd add some polish for the appearing and disappearing of things, if you do plan on working on this further.

Otherwise very fun. Had a 7-minute run, but the game didn't feel like its progressing too much so I kinda let my death happen. Though I was already quite close to dying.

Any chance for a web build?

unfortunately unity 6 broke ECS + WebGL

i tried downgrading to unity 2022 but that broke everything else

BTW I was wondering if you've considered moving away from Unity? I've moved to Godot but I'm growing dissatisfied with engines as a whole. I'm considering doing the future Brackeys jam using Odin maybe. I know these kinds of problems exist in non-engine stuff too (maybe even more so) but I've myself been interested in seeing the simplicity of not using an engine.

I would actually like to switch to Bevy, I really like ECS and a more data-driven approach

but right now it’s just so much more productive to use Unity that I haven’t. I will once Bevy is a bit further along

Submitted

Yeah I used bevy myself for a few months, it just feels so unproductive. I'm still deep in the OOP mindset so switching was hard. I didn't really like it, especially for my use case which was games with lots of variation. ECS seems great for performance but if I want many unique NPCs and stuff ECS became a bit heavy.

cool game, unique concept but I don't see how it fits the theme
