Description of the problem or steps to reproduce

I use powershell and needed a simple way to edit files, thus I have found micro.
It seems to be a be-a-fan app for me but this little thing is annoying.

when I exit the editor, I guess it uses a "clear" command on the terminal that causes clear everything printed on the terminal so far. For me this is a horror moment because I need every printed line and is about to use editor many more times in my time with the console.

Please see and try to fix what causes this.

and the color problem pointed out in issue #1240 is another annoying thing, but not as much urgent as above one.

I tried the same for "cmd" and it does the clearing there too. hope you change this behavior asap.

Using micro (1.4.2-dev.70 Commit hash: 73093f9) in Cmder (ConEmu). Cleared buffer after leaving micro is truly sad and disappointing experience.

Another similar report, from xterm: #1040

Hi, I can confirm this behavior in the most recent build version 2.0.3-devX. Is there any plan to fix it soon?

This error still exists in 2.0.14

If it uses the alt-screen mode of the terminal it does not need to clear any lines.

Bumping this issue as it is really annoying to lose history
