Hi,
Upgrading from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 make all my test fail...

A simple test like this :
Give a initialization exception java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: defaultInstance

@RunWith(SpringRunner.class)
@SpringBootTest(webEnvironment = WebEnvironment.RANDOM_PORT)
public class SimpleTest {

}

Apart from the SpringBoot version, nothing has changed.

This field was introduced in spring-projects/spring-framework#25690 (Spring Framework 5.2.9), and Spring Boot depends on that particular version.

I think your application has a corrupted spring-web dependency, or is overriding the dependency management in some way for this dependency. If you're using maven, you can try and purge the local repository mvn dependency:purge-local-repository.

If the issue persists, please create a sample application that we can take a look at and comment on this issue so that we can reproduce the problem.
