Thanks for posting in the GitHub Community, @MrcotinSol! We're happy you're here. You are more likely to get a useful response if you are posting your question in the applicable category, the Discussions category is solely related to conversations around the GitHub product Discussions. This question should be in the Enterprise category. I've gone ahead and moved it for you. Good luck! |

Hi, I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong category but I'm here to ask if there is a way to have an alias when you are in an organization, to show your name surname instead of your username basically?
I found an old issue on the previous repo for feedback isaacs/github#1015 but it's been 8 years so I wondered if there were any updates or if it would just never be done?
Cuz yeah, username are not always appropriate in a more professional setting and I think that aliases have proven to be quite useful across other platforms.
PS : pls don't yell at me if there is but I just didn't find them. 😅
PPS : Ok, this discussion is similar (although I would argue it's not the same, I just want to change the "used" username in an organization, nothing about SSO) but there was no answers for three years so I just want to know if it's at the bottom of the ToDo list or if the idea was rejected...
