Showing wrong number of contribution

I have been contribution on github on regular basis but sometimes it shows incorrect number of contribution in the page.
Let's say I am uploading 2 files but in the contributing graph it shows that I had uploaded 1 file today but in the repository it shows that 2 files was upload. Do any one can help me with this.

Hi @Jyotirmoy111 ,

Contributions on GitHub don't work that way, they are counted in commits, pull requests, issues and reviews. For example, if you push 1 commit in which you have changed (or uploaded) 3 different files, that will count as 1 contribution, on the other hand if you push 3 different commits modifying the same file, that will count as 3 different contributions.

Also, note that contributions only appear on your activity graph if they meet all of the following conditions:

• The email address used for the commits is associated with your account on GitHub.
• The commits were made in a standalone repository, not a fork.
• The commits were made In the repository's default branch (main or master).

Hello contributions are calculated based on commits not the number of files if you want two contributions you have to commit that two files twice that's how you can achieve your requirement
