As per https://primer.style/components/avatar#shape

Avatars appear as two different shapes, each with their own functional purpose.

• Circle avatars represent individual people.
• Square avatars represent non-human entities, such as bots, teams, or organizations

However I noticed that Issues created by non-human entities, such as Renovate's Dependency Dashboard (example: gitify-app/gitify#576) does not use a square avatar shape
