This robust tool provides valuable insights into your GitHub Copilot usage, enabling you to monitor license assignments and track daily usage trends across your GitHub organizations. It supports various Copilot integrations, including code completion in the IDE, chat functionality within the IDE, interactions in the GitHub.com UI, and summarizing pull requests.

Where can I access the dashboard?

You can download the app from AppSource and install it in your preferred Power BI workspace. For configuration, please refer to the provided setup instructions.

Which GitHub Copilot versions are supported?

The app supports GitHub Copilot Business and GitHub Copilot Enterprise. For more details see the REST API endpoints for GitHub Copilot usage metrics.

I have Power BI Desktop installed on my laptop but do not have access to the Power BI online service.
Can you please suggest how to download this Power BI report to my local machine and open it in Power BI Desktop?

@ayodejiayodele After adding the app in the Power BI web, there is no option to download the .pbix file.

1. In Power BI web, go to Apps and ensure you have at least version 16 installed
2. Then, go to Workspaces and open the Workspace corresponding to the same name of the app
3. Open the report with the name product_github_copilot_dev_metrics
4. On the File menu of the report, you should see Download this file. This is the .pbix file that you can customise with Power BI Desktop

P.S. You can also customise directly online without needing to do it locally on the client. Just click Edit right on the report.

I have installed App - GitHub Copilot Metrics Version 19.
I can see the default report view, but I cannot download it from file menu and then download this file.
It is giving below error

The dashboard has some configurations including incremental refresh, which allows you to have up to 1-year usage trend of Copilot. 🚀 This feature is only compatible with Power BI Premium, Premium per user, Power BI Pro, and Power BI Embedded models.

Hi, I attempted to access my enterprise account, but I noticed that the naming conventions for my organization and enterprise differ.
For the enterprise, I have a space (e.g., Abcd Efgh), while for the organization, I use a hyphen (e.g., Abcd-Efgh). Unfortunately, I'm having trouble connecting via the API with my GitHub username, and the dashboard refresh is not occurring. Can someone please help me?

@Venkatesh-Krishnan-R Typically, an enterprise slug does not have spaces. It should be the single word that follows https://github.com/enterprises/ in the URL. Read more here

How does the naming convention issue relate to the dashboard not refreshing?

I'm getting errors refreshing the data, whether I specify "null" (for all Organizations) or an individual specific Organization in the list, and regardless of what option I choose for privacy level...

Data source errorColumn 'organization' in Table 'CopilotOrgStats' contains a duplicate value 'xxxxxxxxxx' and this is not allowed for columns on the one side of a many-to-one relationship or for columns that are used as the primary key of a table.

NOTE: Organization name has been redacted and replaced by "xxxxxxxxxx"

Any idea on what could be incorrect, or where else to look to diagnose?
