I'm sure a lot of people can use this. Basically: anything that is commented out: is automatically excluded from the search.
Regex can do it but its code can get much longer than the search term itself.

#11688 covers this. The title given to that issue by its author mentions "Find" rather than "Search", and it has been labelled editor-find rather than search, but the description and all subsequent discussion is about VS Code's Search view and not the Find-in-file widget.

@roblourens please consider updating that issue's title and labels.
