After the latest version of Librewolf (v133) has been removed from the website and replaced by an older version (v.132), the Librewolf updater performs a downgrade. After the downgrade, the current Librewolf user profile can no longer be used. It would be helpful if the updater would not perform an automatic downgrade.

I don't know what's going on with the v133 release and why the LW dev team suddenly pulled it without any notice, but there must have been a reason for not entrusting this release to the masses.
I used to think that downgrading would be better for users in such cases, but evidently I overlooked how Firefox/LW would start bitching about this.
As such, I have released a new version that prevents downgrading.
Two solutions for the current situation:
A) Start librewolf.exe with the --allow-downgrade switch, or
B) Edit compatibility.ini:
Close all LibreWolf processes
Make a backup of your profile folder
Open the file compatibility.ini in your profile folder
Just remove the line LastVersion=133... and save the file
