Having Trouble With Subscriptions

Then after wasting my time tinkering away I realized that commenting out the context allowed it to more so work, even though it's completely broken without it.

I need to start playing with websockets and subscriptions, I was hoping to get a notification system per say up and running tonight but here we are. Stack issue? Dependencies?
