New record, achieved by my sweetheart.
This game is addictive... hahaha, a fun way to say that my whole family loves it, including the kids!
Is there a way to save records within the game?

I can try to make a Highscore saver on a disk, but I cannot promise. The memory is completely full… greets to  your family

The game was featured in „New Game Old Flame“ Podcast: https://www.newgameoldflame.com/episodes/2024/57-take-some-mushrooms/

Soon, a video version of the podcast about Orbix will be released, featuring gameplay using the mysterious FPGA.

It’s now the third evening in a row that the whole family has been playing Orbix. Both the very young kids and my wife are enjoying it. Each game brings a new record to beat. I’d say it’s fun but not trivial. In fact, you really need to figure out how to get past some not-so-easy levels. Reaching level 10 is very rewarding. Hopefully, some issues will be resolved, which seem to happen only when using the mysterious FPGA.

Well done!

Very nice game! Could easily pass as a Peggle demake, which I really enjoyed playing on the Nintendo DS. However, only the C128 version actually plays well (we showed both versions). Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 00:45:19. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

thank you presenting, I think I made the C64 version as much good playable as possible… the nasty border color bug is already solved

Cool game - C128 version!

Cool game - definitively worth a few bucks. Especially since the C128 version is out!

Added support for C128 turbo mode... means much smoother gameplay

Does the latest version also utilize the extra horsepower of the U64?

I have no U64 hardware, but someone from Forum64 reported he could use it up to 4 Mhz (should be compatible with C128 Turbomode)

Finished my longplay today. I discovered a tiny bug in level 17. At 47:40, the ball should actually be caught, but it didn't. Great game! I really enjoyed it. Please don't be surprised that I saved so many balls. It's all because of the save states. ;)

Great game, like pinball and breakout together. I also included it in my new "Gameplay of New C64 Games from October 2024" video, in addition to the other C64 games released in October.

So... Only works on EasyFlash?

I get blackscreen on my real C64 + U1541-2...

it is easyflash only, but was tested with Ultima II a disk version is not possible due to the software design.

I hope other Ultimate 1541-II+ could try and load this game. When I try on my PAL machine all I get is a black screen.

The community fixed version for Ultimate64 can be downloaded on this page... this is untested but reported to work.

Niiice game! :)

Good job! https://c64universe.wordpress.com/2024/10/27/orbix-2024-fleischgemuese/

Cool game, thank you.

Amazing!! I have not seen such a game for the C64 before. Obviously it's quite taxing for the cpu to do all the calculations, but the game is surprisingly playable. I would love to see a C128 optimized or SCPU compatible version of this one. Great work!

C128 optimized version is available!

Hats off to you, Sir! the C128 version plays great, big improvement

Awesome game. Nice original take on pinball/plinko machines. Cool music and sounds. It will take a while for me to get used to this game, but I love it. Well done.

Edit: I just tried running this game on the Ultimate64, but it seems that the game is not compatible with it. So I'll have to stick to VICE / theC64 for now until this problem can be solved. It is still a great game. :)
