Kuppi luonnon rauhaa 🌱☕ Tervetuloa Rambollin virtuaalisille aamukahveille keskustelemaan Ympäristö-DNA:sta. Helping to improve heat networks, one scheme at a time. A low-carbon future depends on how we optimise the systems we already have. Ramboll is proud to support the next phase of the Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES), commissioned by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero as Technical Advisors to Gemserv, a Talan Company | B Corp Certified. HNES aims to improve heat network performance in existing and operational projects. Lucy Padfield, Director for Energy at Ramboll says: ‘We are delighted to be providing technical support to this new phase of the Heat Network Efficiency Scheme. The performance of existing district and communal heating schemes is vital to their owners and customers, and also to the success of the UK’s transition to reliable and clean heat - including the deployment of heat zones.’ This work is an important part of UK’s energy transition and a step forward in building confidence in heat networks. #heatnetworks #districtheating #decarbonisation #energytransition #netzero
Our journey with the Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES) continues! Bringing our breadth and depth of expertise in heat networks to the fore with our esteemed delivery partners Ramboll and Gleeds, we will maintain our excellent support for consumers served by heat networks across England and Wales. #LetsCloseTheGap #ThePartnerForSustainableChange #IPCEI Daniel Pahl Pierre Michel Lehmann

What’s your vision for the future of water? 💧 Today is #WorldWaterDay, a global reminder from the United Nations of just how vital, powerful, and precious water is. Water connects everything: our cities, ecosystems, economies, and lives, and is a significant stakeholder on our path to a sustainable and resilient future. But human actions have thrown natural water systems off balance, making this essential resource increasingly vulnerable. So, how can we rethink our relationship with water and help restore what’s been lost? It starts with new perspectives and bold, long-term visions that prioritise balance, resilience, and regeneration. We asked some of our brilliant colleagues working with water to share their visions. Their words inspire us — and we hope they inspire you to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping our shared water future. … And we’re passing the question to you: What’s your water vision? #LetsCloseTheGap #PartnerForSustainableChange #Water #Sustainability #Ecosystems

How can forests help fight climate change – and empower the most vulnerable? 🌳🌍 On this year’s International Day of Forests, we are proud to announce the 2024 Rambøll Fonden / Ramboll Foundation Award recipient: Dr. Ngcimezile Mweso, Senior Lecturer at the University of Malawi - UNIMA, whose work aims to answer just that. Dr. Mweso’s research addresses a critical challenge: ensuring climate solutions do not deepen inequalities. Her current focus is on forest-based carbon sequestration projects in Malawi – investigating how legal frameworks and policies can protect the rights and participation of women and marginalised groups. With Malawi’s growing carbon market and initiatives like REDD+ aiming to curb deforestation and drive socio-economic benefits, Dr. Mweso’s work is pivotal. She examines how these projects can deliver not only environmental gains but also social justice, ensuring that the communities most vulnerable to climate change are part of decision-making and benefit fairly. Her research highlights the need for an intersectional approach – recognising that climate impacts are not gender-neutral and that environmental governance must account for these complexities. The Ramboll Foundation is honoured to support Dr. Mweso’s efforts, which are shaping policies that place equity at the heart of climate action. Her work is a powerful reminder that climate resilience is strongest when it is inclusive. #InternationalDayOfForests #EnvironmentalJustice #ClimateAction #Inclusion
