I quite like this little kit. I bought it years ago and it’s supplied all the resistors I’ve ever needed except for specialty high-wattage ones. You only get five of each resistance. It might have been nice if they had put higher quantities of more commonly used ones. But I like that these are half-watt. In a lot of small electronics projects you can get away with quarter-watt resistors, but these are beefier and so give you a little more versatility (and room for error). I stuck two little pieces of cardboard in my box to act as dividers, as you can see in the picture. I also like to store a resistor color codes cheat sheet card in the box. It might have been nice if the kit came with those items, but you can easily print your own reference card from the internet. And the bags are labeled with actual numbers, so you arguably never need to read color codes, but you do need to somehow distinguish between the four different ratings in each little bag. (Nonetheless, that’s a lot easier than ringing through a completely unsorted bin of 365 pieces!)You will want to have a breadboard if you’re working on little electronics projects. And you’ll probably want a soldering iron and some protoboards too. And you should really have a multimeter on hand so you can tell what’s happening. If you’re just doing little low-voltage battery-powered circuits then you don’t need anything fancy and you might take a look at the Aneng AN8008 but please don’t use a cheap meter on high-energy circuits like your household wiring.

This is a fun product :) When you open the box you'll see the tray is divided into several different sections. Each section has several baggies with individual values and a little slip of paper with the resistors values in it. The downside is that things can get mixed up really easily and it can take a while to dig through a compartment to find the value you're looking for. Still, this is a good resistor kit for the beginner at a fair price.

Arrived on time and as described. Many different values of resistors come in the assortment. All resistors are sorted and labeled in bags for easy identification. Approximately 4 different values in each bag all sequentially sorted (1ohm 1.2ohm 1.5ohm 1.8ohm in bag one; 2.2ohm 2.7ohm 3.3ohm 3.9ohm in bag two; etc). All are 1/2W which is nicer than 1/4W because it can dissipate more heat before failing

I have to say that I am very pleased with this resistor set. with 365 pieces and all of the most common values for breadboarding I have yet to need a resistor that isn't in this set. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get started in electronics. The box comes with dividers and baggies with the appropriately labeled resistors in them. This makes it very easy to find the value you are looking for.

I was disappointed that I have to go through each bag and separate the resistors to know what is what. I have used other vendors on this and they at least bagged the components separately. I guess it is not that big a deal, but I like to throw the parts in my bin and not have to worry about what resistor goes where, I had to do this with 4 resistors in a bag and my color perception is lacking, so colors are not always easy for me to distinguish.

Amazing little kit for those just getting into electronics and electronic prototyping! I love having an assortment of components for those time when you just need something for a one off project. This kit has saved my butt a couple of times when I would have had to order a new batch of parts!

If they hadn't of messed up I'd give it five stars. the box comes with a bunch of numbered bags with different resistors. Mine was missing bag 10 and 16 I believe (I'll have to check later to confirm) and had two bag 13's. It would be a great selection if they had all come. I hadn't touched this since I bought it and I just opened it because I needs a specific resistor for a project and it was supposed to be in the box but again that bag didn't come with it :(

This is a nice little kit to get started. I like the variety of resistors, but there are only 5 of each value regardless of their general popularity in electronics projects. They could have included fewer of the less popular (maybe 2 or 3) and more of the more popular (maybe 10 or 15) values.

I just breadboarded a project and needed more than 5 10k ohm resistors. Since I'm just getting back into electronics projects I was up a creek. It's easy enough to order individual resistors in bulk from someone like Mouser, but this should get you started.

One thing I liked is that each set of resistors comes bagged with a number and there is a key on the box so you know which bag the resistor you're looking for is in. It saves time trying to read the color code of a bunch of random bags to figure out which value is which.

As advertised. 5 resistors of 4 different values are combined in small ziploc bags, labelled with the values, which minimises the squinting at tiny coloured bands you have to do to identify a given value - a helpful touch.
